Man commits suicide on Metro track
Kolkata, Oct 25 (UNI) A 42-year-old man jumped before a speeding Metro train at Mahatma Gandhi Road station disrupting traffic for about ten minutes this evening, Metro sources said.
The deceased, identifed as Kanailal Bhattacharjee of central Kolkata, was killed instantly after a down train ran over him at 1633 hours.
The body was retrieved after switching off the high tension power line.
Later, it was handed over to Jorasanko Police Station for post- mortem.
