JK: IED, 800 gm black explosives recovered

Jammu, Oct 25: A huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including one kg prepared Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and 800 gm black explosive powder, was recovered by the security forces during searches in the hilly Budhal area of Reasi district, Defence spokesman on Saturday, Oct 25 said.

During a joint search operation, conducted by the Rashtriya Rifles and state police yesterday, 125 rounds of AK ammunition and 800 gm black coloured explosive was recovered from a hideout of militants.

Meanwhile, a cache comprising one 9 mm pistol, two pistol magazines, four AK magazines, 137 AK rounds and prepared IED of one kilogram was recovered from another site in the same area, the spokesman said.
