TN official reviews devp of welfare scheme

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 24: A senior official from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's Secretariat has reviewed the progress of development works and the implementation of welfare schemes in Tiruchirapalli District.

T V Somanathan Secretary to Chief Minister, Monitoring, yesterday reviewed the implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee(NREG) scheme, Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam and Anaithur Perooratchi Anna Marumalarchi Thittam, among others.

Mr Somanathan also reviewed the progress of works on various infrastructure development projects, including roads, bridges and drinking water supply scheme.

The official asked the officials to complete the work in time.
