Madurai: Filing PIL turns costly

Madurai, Oct 24: File public interest litigation (PIL) for personal gains, is the latest fab thing to do. So, to stop this injustice, the Madras High Court has imposed a cost of Rs.5,000 on a PIL petitioner.

Justices K Ravirajapandian and PPS Janarthana Raja, said that of late it had become a 'fashion' to approach the court under the guise of PIL even for settling personal scores.
So, beware PIL filers!
