Lokayukta arrests Shirastedar for bribe

Bangalore, Oct 24 (UNI) Lokayukta sleuths arrested a Shirastedar of Hassan District today for allegedly accepting a bribe for showing an official favour.

A Lokayukata press release here today said S Prakash Murthy, a Shirastedar of Belur Taluk, demanded bribe from Murthy for making an amendment in the mutation register for his land.

He had already taken Rs 1,500 and demanded another Rs 500 which Murthy was not willing to pay.

In a well laid trap, the Lokayukta police arrested him while accepting the bribe.
