BJP stages dharna against government
Guwahati, Oct 24 (UNI) The BJP and the All Assam Students Union(AASU) today took out separate protest marches against the state government's 'misrule and failure' in containing violence in North Assam and vaccination deaths.
The BJP took out their dharna in the GS Road area. It was led by their state party president Ramen Deka in the first half of the day.
He and hundreds of others also courted arrested.
They marched towards the state secretariat shouting anti-government slogans.
The AASU staged 'satyagraha' in the Judges Field where the second rung leadership took part. The 'sataygraha' programme was carried out all over the state.
