Andaman introduces Single Window System for all vessels

Port Blair, Oct 24 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Islands have extended Single Window System for purchasing tickets of the passenger vessels plying in the mainland Island Sector, Inter-Island Sector and Foreshore Sector with immediate effect.

With the introduction of Single Window System now any class of tickets for any sector can be purchased from any counter throughout the STARS (Ship Ticket Advance Reservation System) network.

This should benefit the passengers to plan their journey and reserve the ticket from the nearest counter instead of approaching the counter of the source location of the planned journey, a communication from Andaman's Shipping Services said here today.
