Two died, several injured in road accident in south Bihar
Gaya, Oct 23 (UNI) At least two passengers were killed and several others injured when a bus, they were travelling in, skided off the road and overturned at Kasja village in this south Bihar district today.
Police said the incident occurred as the bus driver tried to save a cyclist coming from the opposite direction and lost control.
While two passengers, including a local school teacher, died on the spot,three were seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Later, local people set up a road blockade protesting against frequent accident in the area and demanding compensation to the families of the deceased and the injured.
However,the blockade was lifted after being assured from the local Sub-Divisional officer.
The ill-fated bus which was coming here from Goah had been seized but the driver and the cleaner fled.
