Traffic official among two killed and 12 injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 23 (UNI) A traffic police constable was among two people killed and 12 others wounded in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

Three people, including a traffic police constable were injured critically when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Drngbal, Pampore, about 12 km from here on Srinagar- Jammu national highway. The injured were admitted to hospital where constable Gurpurab Singh died.

They said a passenger vehicle turned turtle at Dusoo on the highway, resulting in on-the-spot death of one Ghulam Nabi Shakhsaz and injuries to six others. The injured were admitted to different hospitals.

A vehicle hit and injured two teenagers at Marval in Pulwama district, while a motorcyclist was injured after he was hit by a vehicle at Khumriyal in Kupwara district. The injured were hospitalised.
