Russia pushes further Gorshkov delivery cost and date
New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Besides seeking increased cost for repairing and re-equipping aircraft carrier Gorshkov, Russia has said a delay in 'delivery' of the naval vessel was also possible.
The revised 'Master Schedule' indicates a delay in its delivery and quotes an increase in price for repair, re-equipping, spares and training costs.
The price escalation proposed by the Russian side towards repair and re-equipping, spares and training, is USD 1202 million.
India is, however, presently evaluating the 'schedule' on technical grounds and no cost negotiations have been initiated in this regard, Defence Minister A K Antony told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply to Dr T Subbarami Reddy.
