Rs one crore dowry demand from woman judge
Katni(MP), Oct 23(UNI) A woman judge has lodged a dowry harassment case against her in-laws alleging harassment for not meeting their demand of Rs one crore as dowry, police said today.
Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Mrs Madhuri Raj Lalji, posted at the district court here, in a complaint lodged with Madhavnagar Police Station here yesterday, said she was being harassed by her father-in-law H K Lalji, mother-in-law Nirwati and younger brother-in-law Movesh Lalji for the last one year demanding Rs one crore as dowry.
In her complaint, the judge said she was married to N R Lalji of Mungeli in Bilaspur district in 1994.
Police registered cases against the trio and was investigating into it. However, the accused were absconding, police added.
