Kalam to speak on leadership challenges at IIM-A

Ahmedabad, Oct 23 (UNI) Former president A P J Abdul Kalam will give a lecture on 'Nation, Challenges and Leadership', under the institute lectures series 2008-09 at the Indian Institute of Mangagement on October 25.

According to IIM-A sources here, he has been delivering a series of lectures at Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) as part of a course curriculum under the post-graduate programme (PGP).

Dr Kalam took his first class under the programme on September 13. He is part of a course, Globalising Resurgent India through Innovative Transformation (GRIT), conducted by Professor Anil Gupta.

The course allows students to come up with their own policy recommendations across various segments of the economy, which, in future, can be implemented as policies.

The students' recommendations once approved under the guidance of Dr Kalam will be presented to the respective standing committees of Parliament.
