Harinder Hira becomes HP Additional Chief Secretary

Shimla, Oct 23 (UNI) Principal Secretary (Food, civil supplies and consumer affairs) Harinder Hira has been promoted as Additional Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh.

An IAS officer of 1976 batch, Ms Harinder Hira has served the Himachal Government in various significant positions like Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Forest, Irrigation and Public Health, Director, Social Justice and Empowerment besides Deputy Commissioner, Chamba.

She has also served in the Centre as Deputy Election Commissioner in Election Commission of India.
