Family escapes unhurt from flaming house
Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) At least ten members of a family, including six women and a child, escaped unhurt as fire gutted a house in a village of Poonch district last night, police sources said today.
The six-room house, which belonged to one Mohammad Hussain in village Topa of Mendhar tehsil near Line of Control (LoC), was completely destroyed in the fire , sources said.
However, as the flames surrounded the house, the inmates rushed out, sources added.
Short circuit is believed to be the cause of the fire, in which property worth lakh of rupees was damaged.
