EC team to review poll preparations in Raipur

Raipur, Oct 23 (UNI) Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami along with his colleagues Naveen B Chawla and S Qureshi will reach here tomorrow from Bhopal to review preparations for the Chhattisgarh assembly polls scheduled for next month.

Official sources told UNI today that the Election Commission team would have separate meetings with senior administrative and police officers, including district collectors and police superintendents. The commissioners would discuss methods for peaceful and impartial polling in naxal-affected areas.

Meetings with political parties' delegations are also on the team's agenda, they said.

The ECs would return to Delhi by Saturday morning, the sources added.
