Discharge from Mettur Dam suspended; level at 77.280 ft
Tiruchirapalli, Oct 23 (UNI) In view of continous rainfall in the catchment areas and the delta Region, discharge of water from the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across River Cauvery remained suspended for the second day today.
The level in the dam stood at 77.280 feet this morning with an inflow of 20,992 cusecs.
From the Grand Anaicut, discharge of water through River Cauvery and Vennar remained suspended. However, 2,513 cusecs of water was released through Grand Anaicut Canal and 2,121 cusecs through Coleroon for irrigation.
