Dharmani to lead Punjab Ranji team

Mohali, Oct 23 (UNI) The seasoned, Pankaj Dharmani will lead Punjab in the Ranji Trophy championship, a PCA release here today stated.

Punjab start their campaign with a match against Ranji Champions DDCA at Delhi from November 3 to 6 and the second match will be against Rajasthan at Mohali from November 10 to 13. The selected players include hard hitting batsman Yuvraj Singh and all rounder Manpreet Singh Goni.

Selected players who are not either playing in the Challenger Trophy, Under-22 inter state tournament or any other board's tournament have been directed to report at Mohali by November 23 morning.

The Punjab team is scheduled to play a three-day practice match with Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association from October 24 to 26 at PCA Cricket Stadium here.

The players who have been named for the first two matches are: Pankaj Dharmani (captain), Ravneet Ricky, Ravi Inder Singh, Karan Goel, Sunny Sohal, Ankur Kakkar, Udai Kaul, Yuvraj Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Manpreet Singh Goni, Siddharth Kaul, Jaskaran Singh, Sarabjit Singh Ladda, Varun Khanna and Charanjit Singh.
