CM announces enhancement in honorarium of Grameen Vidya Upasaks

Hamirpur, Oct 23 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today announced to enhance the monthly honorarium of the Grameen Vidya Upasaks from November 1.

Addressing a function here today, the Chief Minister announced that trained Vidya Upasaks which were being paid Rs 3,412 as monthly honorarium would be getting Rs 4,000 and the untrained Vidya Upasaks with more than five years of service who were getting Rs 2,912 would now also be given Rs 4,000 at par with trained Vidya Upasaks benefitting both the categories by Rs 588 and Rs 1,088 per month respectively. Similarly, those Vidya Upasaks who were untrained and in service for less than five years had also been granted an enhanced honorarium of Rs 3,500 from the current Rs 2922 thereby benefitting them with Rs 588 per month.

Trained Grameen Vidya Upasaks would be getting additional financial benefits of Rs 5,880 per annum, untrained Grameen Vidya Upasaks with more than five years of service to benefit by massive Rs 10,880 annually while the other untrained with less than five years of service would also be availing financial benefits at par with the trained Grameen Vidya Upasaks Rs 5,880.

Over 1,400 Grameen Vidya Upasaks serving in various educational institutions would be benefitted with this announcement.
