Book on four generations of Hooda family
Chandigarh, Oct 23 (UNI) Any nation or community makes progress on the basis of its rich traditions, customs, conventions and cultural heritage which are set up and maintained by the great personalities through their noble deeds.
This was stated by Haryana Governor A R Kidwai after releasing a book entitled 'Bhupinder Singh Hooda: Chaar Pidhiyan' written by noted Sanskrit Scholar and Journalist Partap Singh Shastri in Hindi in the presence of the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at a function held at Haryana Raj Bhavan here today.
He congratulated the writer on writing this unique book highlighting not only the four generations of Ch Bhupinder Singh Hooda but also a vivid description of the historical facts regarding the Arya Samaj Movement and the National Freedom Struggle pursued by Ch Matu Ram Arya and Dr Ramji Lal Hooda, grandfathers and Ch Ranbir Singh Hooda, father of Ch Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the freedom of the country.
The book gives details of their contribution towards the National Freedom Movement and the Non-Cooperation Movement launched by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
The Governor appreciated that the three generations of Ch Bhupinder Singh Hooda remained consistently connected with the National Freedom Movement selflessly.
He observed that out of 189 Members, Ch Ranbir Singh was the only living Member of the Constituent Assembly of India who signed on the draft of the Constitution of India.
He also appreciated the services of Ch Ranbir Singh rendered as an MLA, MP and minister in the cabinet of Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of undivided Punjab.
Dr Kidwai praised the contribution made by all the four generations of Ch Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the socio-economic development of the country.
Expressing his satisfaction over the working style of the Chief Minister, he said Haryana had today become the number one state of the country in the fields of agricultural, industrial, educational, foreign investment and social development which had only been possible because of positive attitude of Mr Hooda towards equal and all round development of the state.
Mr Hooda congratulated the writer on writing the book which had made him remember the history of his family and valuable contribution made by his forefathers Ch Matu Ram Arya and Dr Ramji Lal in the service of the nation.
"I took inspiration from my ancestors and entered the politics with a sole purpose of serving the society especially, the needy and the poor persons", he said.
