Bakarwal's body recovered from under snow avalanche in J
Kargil, Oct 23 (UNI) The Body of a Bakarwal was recovered from under a huge snow avalanche after four months of his death near Chilling river on Pahalgam-Panikhar road, official sources said today.
They said the Bakeawal, Mumtaz Ali, and his horse fell into the river Chilling on June 19 when the hundreds of Gujjars and Bakerwals were on way to Panikhar in this district from Pahalgam in south Kashmir.
The sources said after a long search by police and local residents, the body could not be found as several feet snow had accumulated there.
Only three days ago a group of people saw some clothes in the snow and police was immediately informed.
It took about 48-hours to police and locals to finally recover the body of Ali.
