TCS Q2 net flat at Rs 1,271 cr
Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's leading IT services firm, has posted a 1.51 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,271 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, when compared with Rs 1,252 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
According to an official release issued by the company today, its total income has increased to Rs 6,784.45 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, from Rs 5761.82 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.
On a stand-alone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 1,173.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 1,147.11 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year. Its total income has increased to Rs 5,520.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, from Rs 4,681.49 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
