Students demand en masse resignation of Bihar Ministers and MPs
Patna, Oct 22 (UNI) Various student organisations, joining their hands in protest against the attacks on Bihari students by MNS activists in Mumbai, today demanded the Ministers and MPs from Bihar to resign ''en masse'' in support of the interest of Biharis.
The student wings of the RJD, JD(U), LJP, NSUI, NCP and AISA held a joint emergent meeting at the Patna University campus and discussed the situation in detail. They demanded the Union Ministers and MPs from Bihar to stall the proceedings of the ongoing session of Parliament by resigning en masse for the sake of the dignity of the people of Bihar.
They stressed the need for a joint movement to protest the violent attacks on Bihari students and said they would not tolerate humiliation at the hands of any political outfit.
Student leaders, including Swadesh Kumar of RJD, Sanjeev Sardar of LJP, Adbhudaya of AISA and Ishnukansh Kumar of JD(U), said the time was ripe for the Union Ministers and MPs from Bihar to take action to protect the dignity as well as for the safety and secuyrity of Biharis outside the state.
The attack of MNS on Bihari students is in fact direct attack on the federal structure of the country.
Disclosing their future course of agitation they said the students would take out a protest march from Patna University tomorrow. A student's court would be held at the university gate on October 25 in which the matters related to the attack on Bihari students in Mumbai would be heard.
