PT wants human chain demo on Lankan Tamils in Delhi
Coimbatore, Oct 22 (UNI) Puthiya Tamizhagam Founder-President K Krishnasamy today felt the political parties in Tamil Nadu, which were united on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue, should hold the planned human chain scheduled for October 24 in New Delhi than Chennai to ensure justice to Tamils by drawing the Centre's attention.
Talking to newsmen here, he asked when Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan marched towards the Prime Minister's house for New Delhi allegedly overlooking Kerala on various economic issues, why should not Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi hold the human chain agitation at New Delhi with other like-minded political parties for the sake of saving Sri Lankan Tamils from the military attacks.
He claimed contradictory statements were given by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse on this issue even after sending a letter following the all-party meet in Chennai on October 14.
