Mega Lok Adalat to be held from December 20

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) A two-day Mega Lok Adalat will be held here from December 20 next.

The Mega Lok Adalat, which would be conducted by the State Legal Services Authorities, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Union Territory, will be inaugurated by the Chief Justice of India.

A meeting was held in this regard here today which was chaired by Chandigarh Administrator's Adviser Pradip Mehra.

Mr Mehra directed all departments to identify cases pending in various courts which can be disposed at the Mega Lok Adalat.

The Adviser emphasized upon the involvement of residents welfare associations, non government organisations, federations, councillors, panches and sarpunches to make the event successful.
