Mah Governor congratulates ISRO for Chandrayaan mission

Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today congratulated the scientists and technocrats of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful launch of India's maiden Moon mission, 'Chandrayaan I'.

In a message released here, he declared the copybook launch of PSLV-C11 as a historic event in India's space programme.

''With this launch, a new page has been opened in India's cooperation with the United States. On behalf of the people of Maharashtra and on my own behalf, I congratulate the entire team of scientists from ISRO and those from other agencies associated with the launch of Chandrayaan,'' he added.
