Jute Mill workers on squating in North 24 Parganas
Barrackpore, Oct 22 (UNI) Hundreds of workers of Gouri Shankar Jute mill at Naihati in North 24 Parganas went on squatting at the mill gate since this morning ceasing work.
Police said, the workers were protesting against the mill authorities for discharging three casual workers, three days back.
Police installed a picket to maintain law and order.
No untoward incident was reported so far, police added.
