High Court rejects bail petition of Pappu Yadav
Patna, Oct 22 (UNI) Patna High Court today rejected a bail petition of RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav in connection with a murder case of CPI(M) leader Ajit Sarkar.
A division bench comprising Justice Shivkirti Singh and Justice Dharnidhar Jha rejected the bail application of incarcerated Lok Sabha member Pappu Yadav after hearing the arguments of both sides.
Yadav, now in Tihar Jail, New Delhi, in connection with many criminal cases, wanted a temporary release for his medical treatment.
The court observed that the jail administration would take care of his treatment.
A CBI special court, earlier, had sentenced life imprisonment to Yadav and former MLA Rajan Tiwary in connection with murder of CPI(M) leader Ajit Sarkar, who was gunned down in 1998.
