Fire at multi-storied building at Nagerbazar

Barrackpore, Oct 22 (UNI) A fire broke out at a multi-storied building located opposite to Kamardanga police outpost at Nager Bazar under Dum Dum police station this evening.

Six fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire, fire brigade officials said.

A first hand report said some shops are also housed at the ground floor of the building.

It was suspected that a gas cylinder might have burst in a flat, the report added.

However, cause of the fire and extent of losses were yet to be ascertained while no casualty was reported so far, a fire brigade control room said.
