24 drown in boat mishap in Bihar

Khagaria (Bihar), Oct 22 : At least twenty-four women were drowned when an overcrowded boat capsized in Bihar's Khagaria district today.

According to police, the boat carrying the women to the other side of the river for cutting grass overturned, drowning them in the midstream near Dudhela village under Pasraha police station.

All the victims were residents of Dudhela and Budhnagar villages.
