Three of a family killed as lorry runs over autorickshaw

Mandya, Oct 21 (UNI) A couple and their five-year-old child were killed when a lorry ran over an autorickshaw at Bellur cross in the district last night.

Police said today that the speeding truck collided headon against the auto in which Thipparaju (40), his wife Nagaveni (29) and their daughter Rajani (five) were travelling.

While the woman was killed on the spot, the other two died in a hospital today.

The lorry driver ran away from the spot. Further investigation was on, police said.
