JSM welcomes SC order to drop POTA charges against Godhra accused
Ahmedabad, Oct 21 (UNI) Jan Sangharsh Manch (JSM), the organisation which campaigned for removal of the POTA Act, today welcomed the Supreme Court's judgement to drop POTA charges against the 134 accused in the 2002 Godhra carnage and conduct the trial under provisions of IPC.
Speaking to mediapersons, JSM convenor Mukul Sinha said, ''Our stand is vindicated. We campaigned for the removal of POTA for around six years. As many as six accused have died so far.'' He said that now the trial will be held in a sessions court and chances of the accused getting bail had increased.
