Govt to procure helicopters for para-military forces
New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The Government is considering a proposal for procurement of helicopters for use by the para-military forces including the Seema Suraksha Bal.
Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told the Lok Sabha in a written reply that efforts were being made to take a final decision in the matter at the earliest.
In another reply, he said the Government was aware about the threat perception of terrorist attacks on vital installations, including nuclear installations, ports, oil refineries, among others, in the country.
Various steps have been taken by the Government to thwart such attacks. However, the details thereof could not be disclosed in the public interest, he added.
