Cong to organise India Amar Jyoti yatra from Oct 26

Vijayawada, Oct 21(UNI) The city unit of the Congress and affiliated organisations will organise a six-day 'Indira Gandhi Amar Jyothi' yatra from October 26.

Informing this at a press conference here today, Vijayawada Congress President Pyala Somi Naidu said the yatra, in connection with the 24th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, would begin from Andhra Ratna Bhavan on that day.

After traversing through the main thoroughfares of the city, the yatra would culminate at Payakapuram on October 31, where a public meeting would be held, he added.

Municipal Corporators, party leaders would participate in the yatra, he said adding Andhra Pradesh ministers K Ranga Rao, Mandali Buddha Prasad besides MPs and legislators would speak at the public meeting and recall the services rendered by Mrs Indira Gandhi to the poor.
