8 nominees submit papers in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Oct 21 (UNI) One candidate each submitted nomination papers in eight constituencies today on the second day of submitting the same for the first phase of Assembly polls for 39 seats in Chhattisgarh.
''The break-up was Durg and Rajnandgaon one each, Mahasamund and Dhamtari three each. No nomination was submitted in Kanker, Bastar, Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada districts. One nominee submitted papers in Kawardha constituency yesterday. The work of making photo voter identity cards is underway,'' Joint Electoral Officer Gaurav Dwivedi told newspersons.
The State Election Office has received more than 250 complaints regarding violation of the Model Code of Conduct and probe reports were sought from district returning officers.
