Probe in Batla House encounter helpful to Cong: Mulayam
Moradabad, Oct 20 (UNI) Principal opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today once again asked for a judical probe into the Batla House police encounter in New Delhi, reiterating it would clear the image of the Congress led-UPA government at the Centre.
The inquiry into the said encounter would only wash out the stain on the image of the Congress party, he said in his speech at a Balmiki sammelan here.
The innocent Muslims were meeting doom as 'terrorists' during police encounters, Mr Yadav alleged, adding, ''it is the most loyal community.'' ''The community is playing a major role in development of the country as 80 per cent of the craftsmen are Muslims,'' he added.
Mr Yadav also said barring Jatavs, if the dalits and backward class supported his party and make them grab at least 40 to 50 Lok Sabha seats, then the political scene would be changed and the needful would be served.
