Poonch-Rawalkot to suffer slight delay: Menon
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon today said there would be "slight delay" in the opening of Poonch-Rawalkot route to resume cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade betwen Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
''We are ready to go ahead with it. We are ready to open it tomorrow. But there was slight delay on the part of Pakistan,'' he told mediapersons, when his attention was drawn to reports that only the Srinagar-Muzzaffrabad route will open tomorrow.
Both the routes were scheduled to be simultaneously opened on October 21, after a gap of 61 years, tomorrow.
