Mumbai devotee donates Rs 10 lakhs to TTD
Tirumala, Oct 20 (UNI) A Mumbai-based Sri Vari devotee has donated Rs 10 lakhs to the TTD-run Nitya Annadanam scheme here.
The Businessman D K Aurora handed over the gesture in the form of cheque to the Tirumala temple special officer A V Dharma Reddy, according to TTD sources here today.
Later, he offered worship to lord Venkateswara Swamy during the VIP break period.
However, Under the Annadanam scheme, TTD is providing free meals to more than 40,000 pilgrims daily visiting Tirumala temple from across the country on normal days and the figure will be raised by more than 50,000 on the busy days, the sources added.
