MP Priya Dutt slams Vilasrao govt
Indore, Oct 20 (UNI) Mumbai Northwest MP Priya Dutt today alleged that Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's regime was standing as a mute spectator even when television channels were beaming visuals of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena activists publicly assaulting North-Indians.
''Such inaction places the government in the dock as it has the responsibility of safeguarding every citizen in the state. The administration should forthwith put a stop to such incidents,'' the Congress leader said during a conversation with mediapersons while on a personal visit to Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital.
