Many BSP activits willing to join Congress: Kaul Singh
Shimla, Oct 20 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Kaul Singh Thakur today claimed that many BSP activists in the state were willing to join the Congress.
Mr Thakur said in a press conference here today that after Vijay Singh Mankotia's quitting politics, the disintegration of BSP in the state was envitiable adding that the political advantage of the vacuum would go in the favour of Congress.
He said that BSP activists were expected to join the Congress in big numbers which would be a setback to BJP in the state, which was already ''frustated'' by the recent ''political reshuffle'' in the state.
He also alleged that ''wrong and untimely'' action against PTA teahcers has created shortage of teachers in many schools, including Government senior secondary school, Gumma, when the examinations were approaching.
He also demanded ''retention policy'' in the state to provide new water and electric connectons and alleged that BJP regime had failed to give any relief to households living under Town and Country Planning and Municipal Corporations.
