JSW 10-million tonne WB project on schedule
Mumbai, Oct 20: Country's second largest private integrated steel producer JSW Steel on Monday, Oct 20 assured that its 10-million tonne plant in Salboni, West Bengal is on schedule.
The Company, in a statement issued here, said the foundation stone of the project, to be undertaken by its subsidiary JSW Bengal Steel, will be laid by West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on November 2. ''The Bengal project is right on track and we are sticking to our earlier announced schedule,'' JSW Bengal Steel Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Biswadip Gupta said.
JSW Steel received the Central government's approval to develop a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for steel plant at Salboni in West Bengal last month.
