Govt should hold economic reforms based on globalisation: AIFB
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) The All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) has urged the UPA government to put on hold all the economic reforms based on liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation in the light of global and Indian economic crisis.
The AIFB made this recommendation during its two-day national meet, which concluded here yesterday.
The party feels that advocates of unregulated market economy should take lessons from the global economic crisis.
The government should not provide opportunities to the oil companies to exploit the common man and at least reduce the prices of petroleum products, the AIFB observed.
It has also decided to keep equi-distance from the Congress and BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. The party will try to mobilise the non-Congress and non-BJP votes in favour of people's alternative of left democratic and secular forces.
