Fund utilised for flood victims lacks transparency; Congress
Patna, Oct 20 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today blamed NDA government for not maintaining transparency in utilising fund released by the Centre and other organisations for flood victims.
BPCC president Anil Sharma said here that the state government sought the fund without assessing the actual dimension of the damages caused by the catastrophic floods.
The Centre, however released more funds than what was sought by Nitish Kumar government, he added.
'' The state government was unfortunately not utilising the fund properly and Nitish Kumar government should convene all party meeting to evolve transparency,'' he added.
He alleged that the mega relief camps run by the sate government were in deplorable conditions.
