Cheryl Cole sends clear message to Ashley with 'Promise'
London, Oct 20 : Singer Cheryl Cole seems to have sent out a message to her 'cheating' hubby Ashley Cole in her new song.
The X Factor babe performed the tune with her band on Oct 18's show, while the English footballer stood in the audience.
The fans think that the lyrics to Girls Aloud's 'The Promise' are about Ashley.
They sang: "Maybe we'll make it up and go. Maybe we'll work things out, there's only one way up and one way down I know. If you wanna convince me start again. If you wanna be with me in my arms.
"Promise I made, promise I made, started to fade, started to fade, fade..."
Ashley had come to the show to support his wife.
"Ashley said he was there to support Cheryl who's doing a fab job on The X Factor," the Daily Star quoted, a show source, as saying.
"However no-one could ignore the lyrics to The Promise. It's almost like a song just for Ashley," the source added.
