Centre sanctions 15 Solar Power Plants
Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has sanctioned a project for installation of 15 Solar Power Plants of 1KW each in 13 sub-divisions of DHBVN in Sirsa and 2 Sub-divisions in Faridabad with a total cost of about Rs 52.50 lakh.
Stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) said that by using one such power plant, two T-5 Retrofit Tubelights (28 watt), ten 20 watt CFLs and 6 ceiling fan (50 watt) would be run, in each sub-division office for four hours daily.
He said that tenders had been invited and work order was being placed.
He said HAREDA had taken up multi-pronged strategy for promotion of Solar Water Heating Systems in the state.
Under this programme, the Haryana government was providing a number of incentives to the users of solar water heating systems.
On installation of solar water heating system of 100 litre and 200 litre capacities, capital subsidy of Rs 5000 and Rs 10,000 respectively were being provided to domestic consumers.
Besides, a rebate of Rs 100, Rs 200 and Rs 300 per month was being given on electricity bills to the domestic users of solar water Geysers of 100 litres, 200 litres and 300 litres capacities, respectively.
