Canara Bank Q2 net up by 32 pc

Mumbai, Oct 20: Canara Bank on Monday, Oct 20 reported a 31.8 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 529.43 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, as compared to Rs 401.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The bank's total income increased by 9.7 per cent to Rs 4,447.97 crore for the quarter from Rs 4,054.66 crore for the corresponding period previous year, the bank informed BSE.
