BJP to field Mohan Chand Sharma's wife in Delhi polls
New Delhi, Oct 20 : The BJP has decided to field the wife of the late police inspector Mohan Chand Sharma for the 2008 Assembly elections, according to a website.
According to a politicsparty.com, BJP president Rajnath Singh and senior leader L K Advani took the decision.
Maya Sharma will be the candidate from the Gole Market Constituency.
Her rival Congress candidate will be Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
It may be recalled that Delhi Police Special Cell inspector Mohan Chand Sharma was killed during the course of an encounter with suspected terrorists in Jamia Nagar.
