Tug-of-War nationals in Sirsa distt on Nov 7

Chandigarh, Oct 19 (UNI) Forty three teams, both men and women will participate in the 17th National Tug-of-war Championship to be held at Haripura village in Sirsa district of Haryana on November seven and eight.

The championship is being organised by the Haryana State Tug-of-War Association under the aegis of All India Tug-of-War Federation.

The Federation president, Umrao Singh said that around 550 sportspersons and officials from 24 State Associations have already confirmed their participation.

A team from Pakistan has also been invited to play exhibition matches in various parts of the country after the championship.
