Three of a family die of suffocation in K'taka

Hubli, Oct, 19 (UNI) Three persons of a family were killed when cotton bales stored in a house fell on them last night when they fast asleep in Masanagi village of Byadagi taluk in Haveri district.

Police said the deceased were identified as Kallappa Chikannavar (38), his wife Shekhavva (28) and their one-and-half-year old child.

At midnight when they were in deep sleep the bales accidentally fell on them. In the morning the people saw the tragedy and informed the police.

Byadagi police rushed to the spot and registered a case.

Investigation is on.
