Poppy crop over 50 kanals destroyed in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 19 (UNI) Continuing its drive against the cultivation of banned crops by farmer, Jammu and Kashmir police and personnel from Excise Department destroyed poppy bung over 50 kanals of land in south Kashmir.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of state police and Excise department raided village Brabeandine, kawani and Dogripora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
During the operation the banned crop was destroyed on the spot and a case was registered against the land owners. However, no one was arrested, they said.
