GNDU thrash MJR Univ, 6-0 in NZ inter varsity football

Patiala, Oct 19 (UNI) In the ongoing North Zone Inter-varsity football tournament at the Punjabi University here, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, whipped MJR University, Bareilly, 6-0.

For the winners, Daljit Singh netted a brace while Sarabjit Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Maninder Singh and Vijay Kumar, scored a goal each.

In another match, Allahabad Agriculture University, Allahabad, defeated R.M.L. University, Faizabad, 4-0. Parminder (2) Anthony (1) and Thiway (1) were the scorers.

In yet another match, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, defeated Kashmir University 2-0. Sandeep and Amartejpal scored a goal each.

In the fourth match, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, defeated Chowdhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, 3-0. Avneet, Amanpreet and Abhimanyu scored a goal each.

In the last match, Kumaon University, Nainital, defeated Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana 3-0. Neeraj Kumar, Manoj and Neeraj scored a goal each.
